Researchers test stronger antibiotic dose in race against deadly sepsis

NCT ID NCT07245966

Summary

This study tested whether giving a higher dose of the common antibiotic ceftriaxone could better control severe bloodstream infections (sepsis) in adults. Researchers measured how long the drug stayed at a high enough level in the blood to effectively kill bacteria. The goal was to find the best dose to help fight the infection more effectively in critically ill patients.
