NCT ID NCT07463235
First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether a high dose of the drug cabergoline given for about 6 months can cure small pituitary tumors (microprolactinomas) in women. Currently, standard treatment uses the lowest effective dose for 2 years. The goal is to see if the short high-dose approach leads to lasting remission without needing ongoing medication. The trial involves 70 women who have not been treated before.
