Surgery canceled at the last minute? high blood pressure may be why
NCT ID NCT06628648
Summary
This study looked at how often high blood pressure leads to the last-minute cancellation of planned minor abdominal surgery. Researchers followed 120 patients with known high blood pressure who were scheduled for surgery. They measured blood pressure right before the procedure and canceled the surgery if it remained dangerously high, then recorded details about the patients and their care to understand the situation better.
