Sound waves vs. watchful waiting: new trial for cervical lesions
NCT ID NCT07461064
First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study compares high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to standard observation for low-grade cervical lesions (LSIL/CIN1) in 180 pre-menopausal women. Most such lesions go away on their own, so immediate treatment isn't always needed. The goal is to see if HIFU can help more lesions regress and clear high-risk HPV within 12 months.
