Sound waves target prostate to ease urinary struggles
NCT ID NCT07194187
Summary
This study is testing a non-invasive ultrasound treatment called HIFU for men with bothersome urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate (BPH). It aims to see if using focused sound waves to remove excess prostate tissue safely improves urine flow and reduces symptoms over 12 months. The research will measure changes in symptom scores, flow rates, medication needs, and side effects in about 17 participants.
