Intense workouts tested to fight Parkinson's decline
NCT ID NCT07163663
Summary
This study tested whether a specific type of high-intensity exercise could help people with Parkinson's disease. Fifteen participants with early-stage Parkinson's who could walk independently tried a High-Intensity Functional Training (HIFT) program. Researchers compared HIFT, which uses full-body movements like squats, to standard exercise programs to see if it better improved daily function, balance, strength, and thinking skills.
