To fix or not to fix? the hidden hernia dilemma

NCT ID NCT07461558

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to handle a small, hidden hernia sometimes discovered during surgery to fix a hernia on the other side of the groin. It will randomly assign patients to either have the hidden hernia repaired immediately or to simply monitor it over time. Researchers will track recovery, quality of life, and whether the monitored hernias later need surgery, to help doctors and patients make better-informed decisions.
