Major trial questions: should doctors fix a 'Silent' hernia?
NCT ID NCT07289490
Summary
This large Swedish study aims to find the best approach for patients with two groin hernias where only one is causing symptoms. It will compare repairing both hernias at once versus only fixing the painful side, leaving the 'silent' one alone. The goal is to see which strategy leads to less chronic pain, fewer future surgeries, and better patient satisfaction.
