New study tests best way to ease pain after common hernia surgery

NCT ID NCT06894420

Summary

This study aims to find the best method for managing pain after laparoscopic hernia repair surgery. Researchers will compare two different local anesthetic techniques: one injected near the surgical site during the operation, and another (an ultrasound-guided nerve block) performed after surgery. The goal is to determine which approach provides better pain relief, reduces the need for additional pain medication, and improves patient comfort during recovery.
