New program aims to close cancer care gap for rural families with genetic risk

NCT ID NCT07381985

Summary

This study is testing whether a structured, long-term follow-up program helps people with inherited cancer syndromes stick to recommended cancer screening and prevention plans. It focuses on 200 adults with known genetic mutations, especially those living in rural areas, who will receive personalized care plans and regular check-ins over two years. The goal is to see if this support improves screening rates, reduces patient distress, and makes care feel more coordinated.
