Ancient herbal formula tested against vitamins for heart health

NCT ID NCT07206901

Summary

This study tested whether an Ayurvedic herbal supplement (Maharishi Amrit Kalash) could improve blood vessel function better than standard vitamins C and E or a placebo. It involved 143 Black men and women aged 55+ who were at high risk for heart disease. Participants took their assigned supplement for 12 months, and researchers measured how well their arteries dilated to assess heart health.
