Natural mouthwashes tested as gentler option for Kids' teeth
NCT ID NCT07309679
Summary
This study tested whether two herbal mouthwashes (made from pomegranate peel and neem) work as well as the standard chlorhexidine mouthwash for improving oral health in children. 156 school children aged 8-12 used one of the three mouthwashes twice daily for three weeks. Researchers measured plaque, gum health, and bacteria levels to see if the natural options were effective and potentially caused fewer side effects like staining.
