Could plant oils and herbs curb painful, recurring bladder infections?

NCT ID NCT04747041

Summary

This small, early study is testing a two-part plant-based treatment for women who get frequent bladder infections (cystitis). The treatment first uses antibacterial essential oils to treat an active infection, then uses a mix of medicinal plants for several months to try to prevent future infections. The main goal is to see if participants can stick to the treatment plan, and researchers will also track if it reduces the number of infections and antibiotic use over a year.
