Ancient herbs target oral cancer in groundbreaking trial

NCT ID NCT04278989

Summary

This early-stage study tested whether a traditional Chinese herbal formula called Anti-tumor B could slow the growth of oral cancer cells. Thirty adults with oral cancer scheduled for surgery took the herbal pills for 7 to 28 days before their operation. Researchers compared tumor tissue before and after treatment to see if the formula reduced cancer cell activity.
