Herbal pill aims to cut eye injections for blinding disease
NCT ID NCT07269769
Summary
This study is testing if a traditional Chinese herbal pill called Sanhuang Jingshiming can help people with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a leading cause of vision loss. The main goal is to see if taking the pill reduces the number of eye injections (ranibizumab) patients need to control the disease. About 450 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real pill or a placebo, in addition to their standard eye injections.
