Ancient herbal remedy put to modern test for heart pain
NCT ID NCT07478328
Summary
This study is testing whether a traditional Chinese herbal paste called Chaigui Longmu Ejiao Paste can help reduce the number of weekly chest pain episodes in people with ischemic heart disease. Sixty participants will take either the herbal paste or a similar-looking control paste for 8 weeks, and neither they nor the doctors will know which one they receive. The main goal is to see if the herbal treatment safely reduces angina attacks and improves patients' quality of life.
