Ancient herbal remedy tested to stop stroke damage in its tracks
NCT ID NCT06857487
Summary
This study is testing whether a traditional Chinese herbal formula called Qingre Huatan can safely prevent patients' stroke symptoms from getting worse in the critical first week after a stroke. It will compare the herbal treatment to a placebo in 72 patients who have just had an ischemic stroke and are at high risk for worsening. The main goal is to see if the formula reduces the chance of early neurological decline and helps patients recover better daily function.
