Herbal hope: new study tests traditional remedy for IVF success in women with low egg reserve
NCT ID NCT07347340
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether a traditional Chinese herbal formula (Bushen Tongzhi) can improve pregnancy rates in women with diminished ovarian reserve (low egg supply) who are doing IVF. About 348 women aged 22-39 will take either the herbal formula or a placebo for 3 months before and during their IVF cycle. The main goal is to see if the herbal group has more confirmed pregnancies from a single egg retrieval.
