Ancient herbs meet modern exercise in fight against frailty
NCT ID NCT07321535
Summary
This study aims to see if a traditional Chinese medicine formula, taken along with elastic band resistance training, works better than just exercise to improve strength and physical function in older adults with sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss). Researchers will compare two groups: one taking the real herbal granules and doing the exercises, and another taking a placebo (inactive) look-alike while doing the same exercises. The goal is to find a combined approach to help manage muscle loss and improve quality of life.
