Horse chestnut vs. ibuprofen: the battle for better wisdom tooth recovery

NCT ID NCT07244029

Summary

This study is testing if a natural extract from horse chestnut (called Reparil) works as well as ibuprofen to manage pain, swelling, and jaw stiffness after wisdom tooth surgery. One hundred healthy adults will take either the herbal extract or ibuprofen for five days after their procedure. Researchers will measure their pain, facial swelling, and mouth opening to see which treatment is more effective and causes fewer side effects.
