Fish and fruit combo tested as potential diabetes aid
NCT ID NCT07302178
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily supplement made from bitter melon extract and snakehead fish powder can help control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will enroll 80 adults who are already taking metformin and randomly give them either the supplement or a placebo for four weeks. The main goal is to see if this natural combination safely improves blood sugar levels as an add-on to standard medication.
