PET scan breakthrough could predict breast cancer therapy success

NCT ID NCT06909604

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new type of PET scan that uses a radioactive tracer to see how well breast cancer patients respond to a targeted therapy called antibody-drug conjugate (ADC). The scan measures changes in tumor activity before and after treatment. Researchers aim to find out if this imaging method can predict treatment outcomes in 50 adults with HER2-positive or low HER2 breast cancer.
