New drug aims to cure breast cancer that has spread to just a few places

Summary
This study tests a drug called trastuzumab-deruxtecan (T-DXd) in people with HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to 1-5 distant spots (oligo-metastatic). The goal is to shrink or eliminate all cancer with a year of treatment, including local therapies like surgery or radiation, and potentially achieve a cure. About 72 participants will receive T-DXd every three weeks for 16 cycles.
