Summary
This study looked at 155 patients with metastatic breast cancer whose original tumors were HER2-negative. Researchers checked their blood for cancer cells that had become HER2-positive. If found, patients received the targeted drug T-DM1. The goal was to see if these patients could benefit from a treatment usually reserved for HER2-positive cancer, potentially offering a new option for those with limited choices.
