First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study is testing a blood test called hepatomiR to see if it can predict when people with long-term liver disease will have serious complications like fluid buildup in the belly, bleeding in the stomach, or confusion. The goal is to better understand what causes these events so doctors can manage risks in the future. About 156 adults with chronic liver disease are being enrolled.
