Scientists hunt for hepatitis C's hidden helpers
NCT ID NCT02795403
Summary
This study aimed to better understand how the hepatitis C virus (HCV) works by identifying human proteins that stick to the virus particles. Researchers analyzed blood samples from 10 people with chronic HCV to see which human proteins the virus carries with it. The goal was to find new targets for future treatments by learning how these proteins help the virus infect cells and cause disease.
