Summary
This study looked at whether a hepatitis C medication can safely clear the virus in heart transplant patients who received a heart from a donor with hepatitis C. Fifty adults on the heart transplant waiting list took part. Those who got an infected heart received the drug after transplant, and the main goal was to see if the virus was gone 12 weeks after treatment ended.
