New Two-Drug combo aims to beat hepatitis b

NCT ID NCT06357806

First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing whether adding two new drugs (Sintilimab and Peg-IFNα-2b) to a patient's existing Hepatitis B medication can help them achieve a 'functional cure.' A functional cure means the virus is undetectable and controlled without needing lifelong treatment, though this is not guaranteed for all. The trial will involve 45 adults with stable Hepatitis B to see if this combination is safe and effective at clearing the virus.
