Scientists probe immune System's hidden battle against hepatitis b
NCT ID NCT07240350
Summary
This study aims to understand how the immune system responds to chronic Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. Researchers will collect and analyze blood and tissue samples from 280 people with and without chronic HBV who are already scheduled for certain surgeries. The goal is to learn more about the body's natural defense mechanisms against the virus, which could inform future treatments, but this study itself does not test any new therapies.
