Scientists test antibody shot in bid to cure hepatitis b

NCT ID NCT05345990

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether injections of Hepatitis B antibodies could help the body clear the virus in people with a long-term infection. The goal was to see if this treatment could lead to a functional cure, meaning the virus is undetectable without needing ongoing medication. The study was terminated early after enrolling 13 adult patients.
