NCT ID NCT03589261
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at how giving a standard amount of fluid through a vein (a fluid challenge) changes blood flow in the liver. 22 healthy volunteers had an MRI before and after receiving 500 ml of salt water. The goal was to see if the liver's blood vessels adjust as expected. This was a basic science study, not a treatment trial.
