Summary
This study tested whether a dressing soaked with heparin, a common blood thinner, can prevent thick, raised scars and reduce pain at the site where skin is taken for a graft. 400 patients received both a standard dressing and a heparin dressing on different donor sites. The goal was to see if this low-cost method improves healing and reduces scarring over 3 months.
