Summary

This study is comparing two different blood tests used to monitor a common blood thinner (heparin) given to hospitalized patients to treat or prevent dangerous blood clots. Researchers want to see which test helps patients reach the correct, safe level of medication in their blood faster. The trial will involve 2000 adult patients at Vanderbilt University Hospital.
