New 'No-Surgery' option tested for painful hemorrhoids
NCT ID NCT07179601
Summary
This study is testing a procedure called hemorrhoidal artery embolization (HAE) to see if it can reduce symptoms like bleeding from internal hemorrhoids. The procedure works by blocking the small arteries that supply blood to the hemorrhoids. Researchers at UCLA will enroll 22 adults with symptomatic hemorrhoids and follow them for one year after the procedure to measure changes in their symptoms and quality of life.
