New score aims to tailor bleeding disorder treatment, reduce injections
NCT ID NCT05036278
Summary
This study tested a new scoring system to help doctors personalize treatment plans for people with hemophilia A when switching to a longer-lasting medication called Jivi. The score used factors like a person's bleeding history and activity level to assign one of three dosing schedules, aiming to control bleeding while potentially reducing how often injections are needed. Researchers followed 21 participants for about 7.5 months to see if this personalized approach led to better outcomes.
