Spine surgery in kids: does the fix hold as they grow?

Summary
This study follows 150 children aged 3 to 10 who need surgery for hemivertebra, a birth defect where part of the spine is shaped like a triangle, causing a curve. The goal is to see how well the surgery corrects the curve right away and whether that correction lasts as the child grows. Researchers also track complications like nerve problems or poor bone healing for up to 6 months after surgery.
