First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This small study tested a non-invasive training program that uses both sound and visual cues to help people with hemianopia (blindness in half of the visual field) regain some vision. Five adults with stable hemianopia participated in a three-month program. The goal was to see if this multisensory approach could improve detection of visual points in the affected area.
