First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a program called Help Texts, which sends weekly supportive messages about grief and coping, can reduce sadness and help college students who have lost a loved one. About 126 UCLA students who lost someone close in the past year will either get the texts right away or after 6 months. Researchers will check their grief, depression, and grades over a year.
