West indies stomach cancer study seeks hidden infection link

Summary
This study looks at how common Helicobacter pylori infection is in people newly diagnosed with stomach cancer in Martinique. Researchers will collect tissue and blood samples to build a biobank for future studies on other risk factors, like environmental pollutants. The goal is to better understand why stomach cancer is more common in the West Indies than in mainland France.
