First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study explores whether certain Helicobacter bacteria (like H. pylori) are more common in people with biliary tract cancers compared to those with non-cancerous gallbladder conditions. Researchers will test tissue samples from 250 participants, including cancer patients, people with benign gallbladder disease, and healthy liver donors. The goal is to see if these infections might play a role in cancer development.
