New Nerve-Zapping treatment tested for stubborn heel pain

NCT ID NCT07394894

Summary

This study aims to see which of two minimally invasive procedures works better for reducing long-term heel pain from plantar fasciitis. It will compare pulsed radiofrequency ablation, which uses gentle electrical pulses to calm nerves, to a standard steroid injection. The trial will involve 122 adults with chronic heel pain who haven't gotten better with simpler treatments.
