New surgical approach tested for stubborn heel pain

NCT ID NCT07436923

Summary

This study is testing a specific heel bone surgery for adults with severe, long-lasting heel pain that hasn't improved with other treatments like physical therapy or injections. The surgery aims to relieve pain by changing the angle of the heel bone to take pressure off the painful tissue, without cutting it. Researchers will measure pain levels and foot function before and after the procedure to see if it helps.
