First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at a surgery called calcaneal osteotomy for people with long-lasting plantar fasciitis (heel pain) that hasn't gotten better with other treatments. The surgery cuts and shifts the heel bone to reduce strain on the plantar fascia without cutting it. Researchers will track pain and foot function in 11 adults for 12 months to see if it helps.
