Summary

This study aimed to find out which of two common, non-hormonal medications works better to reduce heavy menstrual bleeding. It involved 130 women of reproductive age who were experiencing abnormal uterine bleeding. Researchers directly compared the effectiveness of mefenamic acid (an anti-inflammatory) and tranexamic acid (which helps blood clot) in controlling blood loss.
