Can switching to heated tobacco reduce harmful chemicals? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07443631
Summary
This study aims to measure whether switching from regular cigarettes to heated tobacco devices reduces exposure to harmful chemicals found in smoke. 108 adult smokers will either switch to different heated tobacco device versions or continue smoking regular cigarettes for comparison. Researchers will measure specific chemicals in participants' urine and blood over several weeks to see if the heated devices result in lower levels of harmful substances.
