Hot chemo bath tested to stop aggressive uterine Cancer's return

NCT ID NCT04727242

Summary

This study is testing a two-part treatment for uterine leiomyosarcoma that has come back after initial treatment. First, surgeons remove all visible cancer, then wash the abdominal cavity with heated chemotherapy during the same operation. After recovery, patients receive additional standard chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this combined approach lowers the chance of the cancer returning inside the abdomen.
