Doctors test hot chemo wash in ovarian cancer patients
NCT ID NCT04415944
Summary
This study tested whether it was safe and practical to give heated chemotherapy directly into the abdomen during a second surgery to check for cancer recurrence in patients with ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. It involved 10 patients who had already completed initial surgery and chemotherapy. The main goal was to see if this combined procedure could be done successfully and to monitor its effects on patients' quality of life and side effects.
