Doctors test hot chemo bath to fight advanced bowel cancer

NCT ID NCT04761185

Summary

This early-stage study tested the safety of a heated chemotherapy solution, called Raltitrexed, when washed directly into the abdomen during surgery for colorectal cancer. The goal was to find the highest dose patients could tolerate without severe side effects. This information will help design future studies to see if this approach helps control cancer that has spread within the belly.
