Hot chemo bath during surgery: a new hope to keep ovarian cancer at bay?

NCT ID NCT03842982

Summary

This large, late-stage trial is testing whether adding a special heated chemotherapy wash to standard surgery helps people with advanced ovarian cancer stay cancer-free for longer. The study compares two groups: one receives the heated chemo during their tumor-removal surgery, and the other receives surgery alone. The main goal is to see if this one-time treatment during surgery can delay or prevent the cancer from coming back.
