Scientists probe simple fixes for jaw pain
NCT ID NCT07237087
Summary
This study is testing two common at-home treatments—a heat pad and a massage gun—to see which one better relaxes a stiff jaw muscle. Researchers will measure muscle tightness in 40 healthy volunteers using a special ultrasound scan before and after each treatment. The goal is to gather evidence to help people who suffer from jaw pain and chewing problems, known as Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD).
